THE ACADEMY TRIES TO :

• Educate those of the blind boys who appear to be intellectually sharp but require guidance and opportunities.
• Inculcate the inner cultural qualities by teaching Music (Vocal & Instruments), Elocution, Debate, Extempore, Drama to the really talented ones.
• Develop their skills in the Games & Sports arena by training of Swimming, Judo, Cricket & Mountaineering.
• Train the eligible blind students in Computer Application.
• Train the blind youths in Technical Vocational Skills (I. T. I.) and equip them with skills like cane and bamboo Craft, Coir-Mat Making, Book-Binding and other suitable trades.
• Teach Scientific Farming, specially Agriculture, Mushroom-cultivation, Poultry-keeping, Dairy-management, Goat & Sheep-rearing, Kitchen-gardening, Horticulture, Floriculture, etc. to those who have a farming background especially from rural areas.
• Train the young individual (both the sighted & blind) to become Trained Teachers for the visually impaired students in future through B.Ed. in Special Education (V.I.).
