Ramakrishna mission blind boys’ academy

The Blind Boys’ Academy tirelessly strives to provide holistic services for the emancipation of the persons with visual impairment (divyangjan) in a comprehensive manner. For its outstanding performance in this field, it has been recognised as the best institution in the country by the President of India in the years 1983, 2010 and 2016. The citation from the Government of India, New Delhi, of 3/12/2016 on the latest National Award is as follows:

“THE NATIONAL AWARD IS GIVEN TO RAMAKRISHNA MISSION BLIND BOYS’ ACADEMY, KOLKATA, IN RECOGNITION OF ITS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THE FILED OF BEST INSTITUION FOR PROVIDING HOLISTIC COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO THE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (DIVYANGJAN) IN A COMPREHENSIVE MANNER.”
