Blind Boys’ Academy imparts Industrial Training in its own campus. It is not expected that all the people will come to our training centre to see the activities of our blind trainees. But we feel that the common people should be aware about the capability of our blind trainees. With this view the Academy introduced a ‘Demonstration Van’ equipped with Power-driven Mini Lathe, Grinding and Drill Machines, Chow Making Machine, Press Machine, Paper Cutting Machine etc. in the year1976.

The students of the then Industrial Training Section work on these machines to develop their confidence and skill no less than that of a sighted person. We send it to different fairs and gatherings in and around Kolkata to make the general people must aware about the potentialities of the blind persons and also to impress upon the public in general about the opportunities available for the blind at Narendrapur.
