APPEAL

The Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys’ Academy, Narendrapur in the path of its long-cherished journey since 1957, in spite of the very best efforts, is still far from its proper position to place all of its students & trainees in some gainful employment by which they may earn their livelihood. This is mostly due to the age-old prejudice which finds no difference between blindness and incapacity. This conviction stands in the way of the employers to absorb the sightless, though they are thoroughly trained and skilled in their own areas of work. Moreover, the dearth of employment scope has become an acute problem of our country which itself possess a great threat to our ventures.

To overcome this uphill task of rehabilitating the educated and trained blind as also to finance some of our much-needed plans for furthering the cause of the visually disabled, the Academy needs spontaneous support of the society. The Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys’ Academy, Narendrapur, therefore, fervently appeals to all the benevolent and prospective employers to come forward with an offer of absorbing some trained blind persons in their firms.

The Academy also needs a large sum of money to conduct these activities and implement the newer plans for education, training and rehabilitation of the visually impaired people. The Academy appeals to the generous public, charitable trusts, business houses and others to give us financial support to meet the huge deficits on capital and recurring expenses.

Any financial contributions or Donations to the Ramakrishna Mission are exempt from Income-Tax under Section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act. 1961 vide order M. No. DIT(E) 848/8E/109/69-70 dated 12.01.2009, which has been further extended in perpetuity by letter no. DIT(E)/2923/8E/109/69-70 DATED 26.09.2011.
