R.K. Mission Blind Boys' Academy, Narendrapur

Appeal to General People

In spite of the very best efforts, the Ashrama is still not in a position to place all of its trainees in some gainful employment by which they may earn their livelihood. This is mostly due to the age old prejudice which finds no difference between blindness and incapacity. This conviction stands in the way of the employers to absorb the sightless , though they are thoroughly trained and skilled in their own areas of work. Moreover, the dearth of employment scope has become an acute problem of our country which itself poses a great threat to our ventures.
To overcome this uphill task of rehabilitating the educated and trained blind as also to finance some of our much needed plans for furthering the cause of the visually disabled the Mission needs spontaneous support of the society. The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, therefore, fervently appeals to all the benevolent and prospective employers to come forward with an offer of absorbing some trained blind persons in their firms. The Ashrama also needs a large sum of money to conduct these activities and implement the newer plans for education, training and rehabilitation of the visually handicapped people. The Ashrama appeals to the generous public, charitable trusts, business houses and others to give us financial help to meet the huge deficits on capital and recurring expenses. Any financial help will qualify for Income Tax Exemption under section 80G of the I.T. Act. All contributions in cheques/drafts may be made in favour of SECRETARY, RAMAKRISHNA MISSION BLIND BOYS’ ACADEMY, NARENDRAPUR.

Thanks :
We express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Government of India, Government of West Bengal, generous public, the best benevolent organizations, individual donors but for whose active co-operation, patronage and help, the Academy could not have achieved whatever it has done so far, Thanks also to the guardians of the students and all the teachers and non-teaching workers whose hearty co-operation and tireless effort did enable the Blind Boys' Academy to carry on its activities successfully.
